Well just had my first graded inspection, I feel a little dishearted ... the focus was very much on working with parents and settings ... an area I need ti develop! :o(
I currently provide parents with a daily diary, I have LJ with all my obs and baseline assesments in as well as the all about me that parents completed prior to settling in! I also have a facebook page were I put up weekly crafts & recepies and parents interact on there! She said she would like parents to input into the baseline assesments during settling in!
I think my inspection went ok, defo could have gone better but with only 2months experiance in childcare I knew there would be many areas I would need to develop on! just hope my next inspection is better!!! :o(

I wouldn't take it to heart, they areaid to find something you should improve or else there would be no point in their job.
Well done on completing your first inspection, now you can relax a bit and enjoy Christmas

Please don't be disheartened, it sounds like you did just great! Inspectors really seem to be focusing on partnerships between us and parents/ other settings at the moment. As Blue Bear said, they have to find something for us to improve on, but you sound like you're working well with the parents you have ;)
