Hi all just wondering from start to finish how long did it take for you to become A childminder

Hi
It took me 9 months from start to finish and I had to push & phone constantly to get it done that quick.
My ICP course got cancelled & CRB's took forever to come through.
It can also vary depending on which county you live in too.
Hope you don't have to wait too long :thumbsup:

Took me just 4 months, and it was the crb checks making it that long. xx

Took me well over a year. This was mainly because of problems getting a place on a course, due to the college cancelling it 6 times. It's a different qualification now, so probably not a good comparison.

Almost exactly a year between doing the initial information session to actually getting my certificate - held up somewhat by the fact that we moved in the middle of it though
But was 5 months before I could get on the ICP - and then my GP took ages to sort out my medical information......

Only 2 months for me to be registered, nice and quick.

Decided in the January to come back so contacted my EY team
Course started April
Ofsted came in the December
Not for the feint hearted that's for sure :laughing:

Took me 15 months as had to wait 9 months to get on a Local Authority course!
