I'm just wandering if anybody knows what is the longest amount of time Ofsted are allowed to leave between inspections. My last one was four years ago this weekend and I just want it over and done with now.

I thought after the old EYFS came in, they said inspections would be between 36 - 47 months - I had my last inspection in March 2009 - so have been on tenderhooks since March!

I had mine in February 2009 with my co-minder. We now work seperately and both been waiting for THAT call:panic:

Same here - although I have been told by my DO that some have been waiting 12 months overdue. Bet your bottom dollar if I relax and expect them next Spring I will get 'the call'.

I'm in Lincs. I had a look on the Ofsted website to see how many inspections have been done since the revised EYFS and could only find one in my area.

I had my last one in April 2009 so have also been waiting since April for the call!! Then got invited to a pre-ofsted workshop put on by our LA for childminders who were due to be inspected between September 2012 and April 2013 (not sure how LA know when Ofsted are coming ) I'm off work at mo, but my co-minder who was inspected at the same time hasn't had the call yet - we both got Good at the last one, so don't know if that plays a part!!

went on a network meeting last week and was told that everyone has been put back into the pot as of sept 1st 2012, that means that even if you were inspected in Jan you could get inspected again! I was last inspected March 2009 and thought my should be anytime my Do said no they have started a new cycle and it could be anytime over the next 3 years!!!!!!!!!!!!

They started a new cycle in Sept when the revised EYFS began.
They are starting with the Satisfactory ones but if there are few in your area they will do the goods and outstanding. They are not doing them in any order and all that is for certain is that all minders registered before Sept 1st 2012 will be inspected before 31st August 2015.

The current inspection cycle ends on 31 July 2016 not 31 August 2015.

i was inspected october 2008 ... my DO asked ofsted as there are a few of us over due, and was told ( as others have said ) that they are doing the satisfactory settings first, then good, then outstanding ... it could be another year or 2 yet apparently for me !!! totally mad! although, ofsted said to my DO, in that i, and the others are accrediated, and having regular visits from DO, we are much less likely to need inspection!
