There is a free OFSTED 'Q&A' workshop for c/ms to have the opportunity to ask questions on inspections and any other matters that you feel need clarifying.

Ofsted's Divisional Manager for Early Years and Childcare, Liz Elsom, has accepted the invitation to answer our questions for 1 1/2 hours and has suggested table discussions for the workshop. If you are coming please arrive at 9.30 am for registration, Q&A starts at 10am. Bring your EYFS 2012 and 'Conducting early years inspections' Ofsted publication July 2012 if you have them to hand. If you don't, that is fine. We also have Early Years staff booked and preschools) should be a useful event!

The event will take place on Saturday 17 November 10am-1pm
St Marys' Church Hall Church Street Twickenham TW1 3NJ

Please book your place: reply via NCMA Local Forum or via me (I will pass your details on to the organiser).
If you are on Twitter please spread the word to your followers as well as using Facebook to let others know.

Travel: Twickenham main station is 10 mins walk from the venue, there are plenty of car parks close to the hall.

Hopefully see you there! :)

Thanks,
Jen

Hi everyone, further to my post above... this is to inform you that we are adding a debate after the Q&A session on 17 November.
The presentation and Q&A should be over by 12pm and you are free to leave but for those who have requested it we are adding a debate.

The debate will start at 12pm and will include the following
1. NCMA rebranding and its implications (Pacey)
2. The future of childminding Networks

Everything points to an immediate announcement from either E Truss or the DfE in response to the Childcare Commission.
The recent announcement may also point to some form of deregulation for c/ms.

If we get an announcement before Saturday then the debate will focus on the proposals ... be there to input your views.

Thank you to those who have booked, if you are still unsure please email whether you are coming or not and please be on time to register at 9.30am as the presentation will start at 10am.

Thanks! Jen
