ok ive only been registered since the end of july and have had parent questionnaires sent to me already and a self assessment form to fill in. i thaught u had to be registered for a year before getting this ? ive given the parents of children i had for one offs forms to fill in n send back but i have no mindees at present as no work about so why am i being asked to do all this?! ive spent three hours this morning doing half this paperwork and same again tomorrow when daughter in nursery surely this is a mistake or is it just a routine thing?x
paperwork putting me off job!

No it's not a mistake. Your first inspection will often be within 6 months of registration. What I would say though is I would contact your inspector and just advise that you have no mindees at present. They may well decide to postpone for a little while - or then again they may not:D but if you don't ask you will never know.
have a look in the CSSIW section of the website as there are lots of threads in there about newly registered childminders having their SAS forms sent to them. If you need help with any questions on your SAS then post in the CSSIW section and we will try to help.

i filled in the forms took 5hours but all done now so if they want to inspect they can :) just thought i had to have mindees but then they can check property and paperwork if they do come so would be ok i guess x just thaught it was mistakex thankyou :)
