I did my SEF back in January but left it too long and its been reset! Got my inspection in a few weeks and I really want to concentrate on organising other bits and pieces and I'm going on holiday in a week so pushed for time. Don't want to get all stressed out trying to squeeze it in - has anyone not bothered with it? Did you write down anything separately? How important is it? I cant find my log in details so could someone remind me of the questions on it please?
Thanks!

Sarah posted the new sef on here, try searching for it.
You should do some sort of self reflection it does not have to be the ofsted sef but the inspector will be wanting to see how you reflect on your practise as well as planning for changes in the future.
A diary would do just as well.

The new wording for the SEF is in your Govt gateway site. There is also some help in free resources.
It doesn't matter whether or not you do the SEF - but your inspector will be looking for some evidence of self reflection - so at least put together a folder of your evaluations and parent / child discussions for them to see.
Hth :D

If you did your sef in January and you have a copy of it then I'd just write a little bit about what you've changed or other things you intend to do, what training you've done or will be doing etc and leave it at that.
Enjoy your holiday and good luck with the inspection when it comes.

I hadn't done mine when I had my last inspection. Mrs O said she was going to be away from the time of her call till her visit, so even if I did it, she would not be able to read it.
She suggested that I did a list of my strengths and weaknesses to show her on the day.
was all okay in the end - thankfully
