I am moving house next month, confirmed today. What do I need to do now??.. Inform Ofsted etc... Do they come and inspect before I move in or after, bare in mind I will be moving with children as staying in the area so wont be taking any time off work.
Thanks in advance!

you need to tell ofsted and they will need to issue you a certificate for your new address. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THIS, YOU CAN NOT WORK IN YOUR NEW HOUSE UNTIL IT ARRIVES! but they can't send it early, if you are still working in your old house!

i had this, i was working until 6pm on the friday in my old house, and then starting work at 7.30am on the monday in my new house! i spent alot of time on the phone to ofsted in the preceeding week as one person said one thing, and another said something else! in the end i had it promised that they would email me my new certificate first thing monday ( 9am !!! even though i said i wouldn't have internet access for a few days! ) and put on my file that i was starting work at 7.30am that day and it had been cleared.

you may need to send them a risk assessment/plan of your new house, and you may possibly have an inspector want to visit before you start work. i had to tell them that i had RA the house, and ifi had any concerns, and what i was going to do about those concerns. i also had to tell them if i had enough space for the number of children i am registered for.

you also need to tell your insurance company, so that you are insured!

ICO & environmental health/food hygiene/whoever covers that for your area. plus FIS;although they should get notification from ofsted!

good luck with the move!
