Has anyone ever had anyone ring them THINKING you were Ofsted?

I have had my second phone call in 2 months where I say hello, and they ask 'is that Ofsted?'
The first time it was a childminder trying to get through to Ofsted . She said she had got my number from directory enquiries. At the time I thought it might be a trick to see if I knew the number! - as surely a childminder would not need to call directory enquiries for Ofsted's number.

Todays call, she said she had got my number from 118 118. We worked out because I am recorded as kirstie :censored:, Ofsted Registered Childminder.

She was trying to ring Ofsted with a safeguarding issue. I looked up ger local council, and gave her the number from the safeguarding page, and also gave her ofsted's number.

Has anyone else had similar strange calls?

Do people think with this last call I have done enough, or should I make a call to council/ofsted myself?

it used to happen at least once a week! i used to pass on ofsted number and in the end i rang 118 118 and complained. apparently it was my fault as the computor would 'seize' on the first 'ofsted' it found! i got very cross and demanded to speak to a manager and eventually it was sorted out! i think they moved the ofsted!

i haven't had any for the last few months so it can be sorted!

ONLY ever had people saying it was 118 118 that sent them to me!

wow only had it happen twice so far. But its a worry, when people are really NEEDING to get hold of Ofsted, and cannot get through to them because I am away, on school run, etc.
