Hi,

Could anyone please tell me how much ofsted currently charges to register?

Childminders Ofsted Fees are £35 per year! Then you also have to have public liability, and pay the ICO if you use ditigal technology for taking photos etc. Hope that helps :thumbsup:

Thanks so much for the information. I saw something of the Ofsted website for about £200 which I started to worry about a bit! I must have just been looking in the incorrect place :)

It's more expensive to go on the voluntary register only.

We were advised to go on all registers from the beginning, early years and childcare comp and voluntary, it was our la who advised us this as its £35 for all 3 parts but say you only started on the early years and then added the others on at a later date it would be £35 for EY and then I think it was over £100 for the others apparently they won't just charge you £35 for the three once you've already been registered (that's what our la told us)
So go on all parts from the start as we were told you never know what age children you might want to look after in 2or 3 years time.
I've probably made that as clear as mud but hope it makes some sense.
