I have just tried to post a question on the orbit thread and i got a very very quick pop up that said something about my message will not be posted till it has been approved by a moderator, why? I didn't see it at first so redid my question :o

It is so that business who don't have permission to post in there don't get through, unfortunately it therefore applies to all posts :) (Nothing personal!):thumbsup:

how long generally does it take for the posts to be moderated then please ??

i posted a reply last night around 9.30 and its not showing yet at 11am this morning !!??

i know its the weekend so wasn't sure whether it make take longer for these posts to be moderated but just curious :)

All the people with moderator buttons - me, Pauline, Angel and Graham - are part time and unpaid - we do it when we come online and get a moment.

Richard also has the buttons but he has another business to run!!

We do our best but if we're not online or on holiday or out and about then it can take a little while.

Moderating the first few posts is really important because it stops spammers getting onto the forum - so while I know it can be frustrating it is also done for members' protection.

Moderating the business section is again I know frustrating as you have to wait but it stops unwanted businesses posting rubbish so again it is a good thing to do.

Thank you for explaining that to me as I really had no idea of what was involved in moderating the posts as none of my posts had ever been moderated before :laughing:and I had no idea how the "system" work - but i do now so I'll know next time :)
