Children
I have a 18 month old Mon - Weds and have an 8 month old baby who comes on the following shift patterns:

As far as I can see you can have another under 5 on a Weds and then 2 school children as well on all the days.
xxxx
Oh and then another school one once your DS is 8 as he wont count in your numbers at all.

my brain is'nt working but from a quick glance i can see that there are times when you only have 2 LO there and parts of days when you only have your own LO.To put it simply any times where you are responsible for less than 3 LO then you have spaces.you have full days with spaces every thurs and friday .these are your easiest to fill or go for after schoolies and you can have 3 of these once your own DS has his birthday

Hi,
Ive uploaded my spreadsheet to show the numbers of children and times (I have of course not named them)
The Fridays are temporary for 12 weeks as there are siblings wanting an additional day. This will ceased at the end of term.
Help would be great.....
Thanks

Just had a quick look and I think if you allow weeks 3/4 al the time you have a vacancy on a Wed/Thurs/Friday for an U/5

at one time i have had 7 under 5s on my books but as long as no more than 3 of them are here at once then thats fine..its totaly fine to have more than 3 under 5 or even more than 6 under 8 on your books just not minding them all at the same time..
i think i have made that about as clear as mud ..sorry maybe someone else could put it better

Agree with Dette. Your numbers are for children in your care at a particular time so no more than 2 mindees under 5 at any given time on a particular day.
You could have different mindees morning & afternoon or everyday but as long as you have no more than 2 with you at any point in the week you are fine:thumbsup:
I had to check this when I first started minding as I thought that I could only have 2 on my books at any time. At the moment I have 4 under 5s on my books but only 3 at any one time:)

Thanks for all your responses.
I understand I can have more on my books but I'm looking for specific spaces as I'm telling people I am unable to take anyone as I don't have physical spaces during the day.
Thanks again

if you look at your shift child as taking up a full space as it may be difficult(but not imposible to fit another around these hours) the other LO you have is only 3 days so the other 2 days you have space for another LO .this would still bring your total number of used spaces to only 3 of your 6 under 8 spaces including your own LO,now that your son has turned 8 you have 3 more spaces for schoolies .your certificate says 4 children overall but that is minded children, your own are in addition to this figure.as long as the total number of under 8,s dont exceed 6 and of these 6 ..3 can be under 5. i think you may have included your own LOs by mistake into your allowed number ,hope this cleared it up
