Is it just me...Im having problems opening threads etc. Its taking ages and flickering alot. Just wondering if its my laptop or is anyone else having probs? x

You have my sympathy if it is. I ent all yesterday reformatting mine as I got a virus and my Internet wouldn't open gmail.

Mine seems to be ok, try logging off and closing down laptop and then rebooting see if that helps :thumbsup:

Yes, I just tried to do other things and its ok. Weird! Its like its jolting if you know what I mean. When I try to open a thread it judders and takes about 5 seconds to open? Im really worried now!!!:panic::panic::panic:

Do you have a different browser you could try?

Mine sometimes goes funny in firefox but is fine in Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.

No I use Chrome and I have been having similar problems for days and it is not my computer because it only happens here. The other thing is that since the smilie button disappeared all the type has reduced in size!!!

Which smilie button?? Nothing here has disappeared... the type is still the same as always :eek:

Nothing has changed... nothing has been added or taken away except for a very few sections but that was a good while ago... we are still on the same server as before...

Have you tried logging out, clearing your cookies and then logging back in? Sometimes cookies get confused.

You should have internet explorer as part of your original computer set up.

Go to your start button, put 'internet explorer' in the search box and see if it comes up - it's a blue 'e' with a halo.

If not then yes you need to choose a different one and download it. If you don't like it you can remove it and try another!! I went through a few before I settled on Google Chrome...

I don't recommend using internet explorer - it is riddled with viruses!

if the type has reduced it could be because of an accidental screen reduce - to decrease print size on an open window its CTRL- to increase its CTRL+ (pressed at the same time) hth x

Sarah when I come onto the forum I come onto a general page and on the right had side there was always a big blue Forum Smilie to click on to come through to the Forum. That Smilie has been replaced with the new clown and ever since that time the Threads skip from the bottom to the top when scrolling through and all the lettering has gone to a smaller format. I have checked Cookies etc and all is fine and it only happens on this Forum.

Its all sorted now, and working fine. :thumbsup:

Im afraid I might have titled this thread in a way which has made some people think I was critising the forum, which Im not.

It sounds like you accessing the forum by going to www.childmindinghelp.co.uk first and then clicking on the forum logo?

This opens the forum in a new browser window with the text size defaulting to what you have set in your browser settings.

A quicker and easier way to access the forum would be just to go to www.childmindinghelp.co.uk/forum. You can also add this page to your browser bookmarks.
