I had my first grading inspection in January 2010 so I was expecting my next inspection on or after January 2013, but today a lady from the NCMA told me that for Satisfactory providers (me :( they inspected me 2 weeks after I started having a LO and said that I didn't do much self reflection!!!) they inspect every 2 years so I am due one any moment now... is this true???? I cannot seem to find anything to this extent on the Ofsted website...

Any ideas??? I am getting worried!!!

They are starting a new inspection cycle as of Sept... so they could possibly come out to anyone at any time from now on!!

They are more likely to visit satisfactory first but it doesn't always follow.

You'll be fine! You will find you've done lots of new things since you were last inspected :D

Sarah - is that new for everybody, so we could all be inspected at any time regardless of our last inspection?

According to my DA they could come out to anyone regardless of when you were last inspected! Those who got satisfactory are being done first, apparently! Mine is 6 months overdue so have been expecting it for ages!

I got a satisfactory in Dec '11. I have now got everything in place and it is all ticking over nicely now, my full time EY mindees are on their jollies from 5th Oct for a week, so I am getting DO over to check everything I am doing in right so if I was to be inspected I would know I am doing what I need to...

...To be completely honest... I fretted over my inspection so much, stressed out and made myself ill with it all. I got a satisfactory and all my parents said the same thing "What do they know, my kids love coming to you, that's all I care about!" which made me feel so much better... So as long as I am doing what is required in Ofsted's eyes, then that is good enough for me... My parents opinion matter more!
