Hi,

I have today handed my application in to become a child minder :)
Ver excited and very nervous!, :o

Is there any advice on what I need to do for my house, I've done the whole plug sockets, corner guards and stair gates.... Not sure what else I need to do...

What do the inspectors look for and how can I make sure I pass?

Do I need all of my toys, high hairs, pushchairs etc for him/her to see?

I'm worrying so much :( lol :panic:

Hope I pass, I can't wait to get started.

Any help and advise greatly received, thank you.

Claire xx

Hi Claire

I am in scotland so some things are different but I have my inspection in a couple of weeks!!

I know I have to have my sockets, fire blanket and mains powered smoke alarms in (as advised by fire service) plus stairguards etc and all papwerwork such as polices and procedures ready.

:)

Work through the pre-reg booklet from Ofsted - that will give you lots of information and advice to set you on the right path!

Good luck... and don't forget to let us know how you get on :D
