Ive just phoned Ofsted to inform them my eldest turned 8 on friday, instead of increasing my numbers by 1, they are in the process of changing everyones certificates, with no variations on at all inline with EYFS 12. I could of waited till next month and been given 14 days notice whether to keep my conditions/variations on or not, or have a new certificate now. So new certificate with no conditions etc is on its way. Not sure now if it will be better or worse to show parents a blank certificate or one with everything set out in stone... too late now.

Everyone will have the same wording - unless you are registered for less children because your house is small or you have a medical condition.

All certificates will normally (except as above) say 6 under 8.

You'll be one of the first to have one I think! :D

It's a small world

When I phoned them last week they said all certificates will just say 'is a registered childminder on the xxx register. Apparently we are expected to know our numbers so no 6 under 8s on there at all.

They aren't issuing until october - typical ofsted - a month behind everyone else!

Your registration has been based on the EYFS 2012 requirements since it started being used at the beginning of Sept.

Ofsted have always been aware that it will take a while for the new certificates to go out - but I have it in writing that their slowness won't be held against us as long as any decisions we make are based on the EYFS requirements.

Hth :D
