Started the process of registering in Jan! Got my certificate through - at last!:jump for joy: - this weekend, and it's wrong - or at least I hope it's wrong:angry: !! It says I can have 3 children between the ages of 1yr and under 8. That means no children under 1yr!! I have advertised from 6mths and have a 7mth old starting with me in October:eek: ! Anyone else had similar problems?

Do you have any children of your own? What were you told at your pre-reg inspection re numbers?:)

If you don't have a child under 1year yourself then call ofsted & ask them to change your certificate to include a child under 1year :)

Yes if you think it is wrong the best thing to do is call Ofsted so they can put it right

Hi - yes I have two children of my own - both over 1yr (20mths and nearly 4yrs) I was told nothing about under ones at my pre-reg visit. Have phoned Ofsted who say I need to talk to the inspector and she has not called me back today :mad: - will ring them again tomorrow.

I'm sure when you tell her you want a child under 1 years on the certificate you will have no problems :)

I hope it is a mistake rather than the inspector deciding not to let you mind that age group until your children are a bit older...

She should have mentioned that at pre-reg though...

Make sure with Ofsted that you would like your certificate for under one as well as 1-8 years as it could be done of play space per child
