Hi.
Just wanted to let you all know that I appealed against Ofsted and my appeal has been upheld which means my inspection is nul and void and I will be getting another one.
so have to go through it all again. i am glad that they have listened though, I had all car docs in place she was just being picky!!
Will let you all know. Thanks

Great result...
Fizzy, it was a thread from before your time. During Lou's inspection, the inspector asked to see her driving licence and Lou was not prepared to lug 3 toddlers upstairs to get it, so the inspector marked her down for this. Lou took advice and appealed - she was happy to show her driving licence, but not to put children at risk in the process.
It's great that you have a won a new inspection Lou! Hope you get a less picky inspector this time! :D

HI.
I got a satisfactory because I didn't have my drving license at hand, was upstairs and I wasnt prepared to leave 2 mindees with inspector, also mentioned that i had not shown parent observations that i had done. As i explained to inspector i show obs at the end of each term, had only been looking after mindees for 5 weeks, term was not up.
ofsted told me today that the findings were unfair and that i will be having another inspection.

And let that be a lesson to the inspector about being so picky in future! I'm sure they must be informed if their work is appealed against (especially if it is upheld!). Wish I could be a fly on the wall!:D

As Miffy says shame you have to go through it all again though I presume that whoever inspects you this time won't be made aware of the facts so they can be totally impartial and if you do everything as you did before then you should do just fine - well perhaps have your driving licence to hand and get parents to sign to say they have seen obs and a policy on obs stating that you show termly just in case they are aware of what went before - as we are not legally required to do obs at the monent you shouldn't need a policy on it or proof that parents have seen them. All paperwork we have on children should be available for parents to see but that doesn't mean we have to show it iykwim. Schools and nurseries write reams on our children but they don't furnish us with copies of it all or invite us in to see it so its all poppy cock.
Anyway all the very best.
