We buy thermometers from EBay - we have a block one at the moment which was quite expensive but it's very good.
It pretends to be a block of cheese and you measure core temperature :D

Do you have a direct link to the cheese one?
My DW's has a nasty habit of not staying put, it has a suction pad thing which is useless.

Wilko's do one for about £2. Iy has a hanging hook to dangle from a wire shelf.

Thanks all. I live a 5 min drive from Lakeland so I might have to make a visit. I'll tell DH it's purely for professional reasons - he comes out in a cold sweat everytime go in there :D
