my friend had her inspection the other day and was told that no-one will have a grade from sept.

Not heard that at all
Only if we are deregulated and work under an Agency when the plan is that all cms will be considered the same grade as the Agency.

 haven't heard that!
and infact, i'm sure when childminders on her were having pilot inspections for the revised EYFS, they were told what grade they would have achieved!

The new Ofsted inspectors guidance to inspections has come out recently - and that gives clear information about grades from Sept.
I wonder if she got her wires crossed with something else?? :D

The Evaluation Schedule from 1st September 2012 (http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/resources/evaluation-schedule-for-inspections-of-registered-early-years-provision) has details for Outstanding, Good, Satisfactory, Inadequate. So therefore there are still gradings but what is unclear is if there will be gradings from August 2016, but that is some way off yet.
