so sorry you're feeling so emotional, try not to put so much pressure on yourself, take some time away from the paperwork and then go back to it.

Hope you feel better about it soon, sending you lots of hugs and support:)

Take a deep breath, then leave paperwork. Take a step back and make sure you have everything required in place, keep it simple.
You'll be fine, Ofsted arent ogres and if the parents and mindees are happy then you're doing a good job :)

Stop worrying about it, if it was good enough for last week then it's good enough for the inspection.
You don't need to be perfect, give your children some mummy time, at least you can give mrs o something proper to recommend rather than have her make up something impossible.

agree with the above honey. my lj's are not always up to date. if ofsted popped in tomorrow I'd show them the lj's and all the bits I have to go in but they are not up to date. I have a life and family.

just make sure the essentials are in place and tell them the rest is a work in progress - you update LJ's termly, half-termly or whatever you do :)

Hope you are feeling a bit better tonight.

Don't worry, just be yourself and play with the children as you usually would. I think now there is much more focus on how you are with the children than your paperwork. As long as you have the essential in place - paperwork for your families contracts etc, safeguarding procedure, medical records (ie if you have given calpol etc) registers, risk assessments etc. Don't worry about the good to have stuff, I'm sure you have got more than you realise anyway.

Go to bed early and just be yourself tomorrow. You'll get along much better with your inspection tomorrow if you are well rested and calm.

Good luck x

Agree with all posts above - you probably have everything in place that you need, just make sure it's all to hand tomorrow and try to have as normal a day for the children as possible.

Also, as someone else said, if the children and parents are happy with the service you provide, this is paramount - your grading matters much less.

Get a good night's sleep, this time tomorrow it will all be over and you will know if there's anything you need to work on. Don't forget, this is your very first inspection, you really can't be expected to be perfect, so don't put pressure on yourself to be.

If it's any consolation, I sweated so much during mine last week, I think the inspector thought I was having some sort of turn.

The very best of luck to you!!!!

Thanks again

Oh it's horrible when you have a postponement when you just want it over. Still, maybe it will give you a bit more time to get straight. Why not promise yourself and your family a treat once it's done - maybe a meal out or a trip somewhere?

Anyway, best wishes and positive vibes!

sorry to hear it was cancelled after all your worry! I hope they have another date for you soon so you can get it done. I had no children on roll for 2 weeks and thats when they phoned and they postponed it - had to wait another 9 months and when she phoned I had 2 exams that week and was well behind! However, she could see the work I normally put in and said I did too much! She said I needed to make it more user friendly - ie more manageable for me. When I registered I was told I didn't need to write huge ammounts and the new EYFS actually states that we should NOT be writing huge amounts and I think this is perhaps to clarify for those of us (me included) that seem to think we need tobe writing huge amounts - we don't!
