Im having a mad rush trying to get the house clean and tidy (not helped by DD and the dog).

I have a few questions (after tonight there will be lots less questions, I promise).

1) Will the inspector want to see my car, or just he documents?

2) Will the inspector want to look into the rooms that Im not registering?

3) Will the inspector want to meet the dog? The dog usually spends daytimes at her brothers house and this is the plan for tomorrow too, but didn't know if she will want to make sure the dog is friendly?

4) When shes here is it usually to offer information or wait to be asked?

Im sure there will be more questions added later, so appologies in advance.

Just the documents

No. Most inspectors will want to check you have catches or locks on the doors

3) Will the inspector want to meet the dog? The dog usually spends daytimes at her brothers house and this is the plan for tomorrow too, but didn't know if she will want to make sure the dog is friendly?

No, just your risk assessment and pet policy ideas

4) When shes here is it usually to offer information or wait to be asked?

Both. She will take you through the 14 standards to find out what you know, fill in any gaps and want you to ask questions to check you are clear about what you are doing.

Im sure there will be more questions added later, so appologies in advance.

It's not a test! Relax and don't forget to breathe! :D

I had my pre reg last Monday and wasn't asked to show anything for my car, i did ask her but she just said its probably considering putting a photocopy of documents in policies.

She did look all around my house, she followed me all around downstairs, even when i was making the drinks. later she asked for me to take her around upstairs.

I had both my dogs there as i wanted her to see that they were friendly dogs, she sat and played with them, asked me questions, they were licking her and she was laughing at them saying how well behaved they were. they are a Staffie and a Staffie cross and i wanted reasurance that she was happy with them.

Good luck with your visit....... its not as bad as you think, they are really friendly. xx
