Hiya,

Had my first inspection today after minding for 2 days only. I was graded satisfactory and was told this was because I did not have any written evidence.

I have found it a bit unfair as she said what I was practising was really good but she could only mark me satisfactory purely because I had no evidence in writing to back up my practice.

I have mindees every Sunday and I rcvd the call 2 days before they started with me!! :(

I feel really down about this and wish I had another inspection sooner just so I can prove myself but she said I wouldn't be visited for another 3 years.

Just wanted to share

I only mind on a Sunday she wanted to see how i was with LO coz he is still in the EYFS Group, she said she has never done a Sunday before and was looking forward to it, I tried to get her to defer it but she was adamant it had to be done before 16 July, talk about not even giving me a chance to prepare things properly!

I heard that they have to get thru everyone on the register before end of July, that was said to me several months ago, even if u had no children attending.

I've never heard of Ofsted doing an inspection on a Sunday either.

Sorry if you're feeling disappointed with your grade but I'd wait and see how your report reads - you might feel happier then.

I was told on my pre-briefing that If you register before sept 2012 you will be inspected very quickly before the new EYFS comes into force! its one of the reasons I am not going to register before sept! It does seem unfair to inspect you before you have got into the swing of things!
