Hi

I finally after a 3 month wait got my crbs through, just waiting for Ofsted to recieve them. Has anyone had a member of there family with a criminal record (who won't be involved in the minding) and ofsted have refused them registration. The record is from over 16 years ago, and doesn't involve anything to do with children.

Just realy worried that they are now going to refuse my registation and its took so much hard word to get to this stage.

Cant really offer any advice I'm afraid. Just wanted to say good luck and hope it all works out ok for you :)

Ofsted decide each case on it's own merits... so nobody can advise about your individual circumstances I'm afraid.

I hope they make a decision quickly for you :D

Hi Everyone

Thanks for your replies and support, Ofsted contacted me last week and talked through the details and based on the details given to them, they are happy with my registration and i should have my certificate next week hopefully. I'm so relieved.

Sorry for not replying sooner, my husband has just had a knee operation and i've been looking after him aswell as my two children, so been run off my feet.

Congrats on finally getting your CRB's sorted. I'm pleased Ofsted are happy with your registration. Hopefully you will get your reg certificate through next week, will keep fingers crossed.
