As I wont get all the work done on the house by my pre-reg I was thinking of doing an action plan for each room of the house. Do you think this will be ok?
Is there anything you think I should do to prepare. I really want to get it all in writing to refer too as I have a bad memory and will miss something important.

That's an excellent idea!
It's like having a 'wish list' but instead of it being for toys, it's for jobs to finish.
You could share it with your partner on a daily basis as well to ensure he gives it his undivided attention and nothing slips his mind :D

I dont have a partner, I have to get the house ready myself. But as I have a day job and daughter I want to get it done monday when im off work and DD is at school. There is no way I will get all the work done as there is painting and plastering to do (although only a little) so hope they are happy with the action plan.

I was on my own for many years and should not have assumed - sorry!
I don't mind painting but don't think I could turn my hand to plastering :panic:

Hiya
At the pre reg she wont expect perfection, and it will be a little while until your crb comes through so you'll get some time, a great idea just to write everything down that you'll have done by the time you get your certificate.
best of luck xx

Dont worry it doesn't bother me, everyone does it, although DD hates it

The inspector told me on the phone you get 2 weeks to do things that she gives an action for, is that right or can I ask for longer?

You will need to send a signed letter back saying you have done the things she asked you to do... they actually check they're done at your first minding inspection which is usually about 6 months after you are registered.
I don't know how long you get to do the things - that's something you will need to ask the inspector on the day :D
