First inspection is next week and I have a couple of fairly minor questions that someone may be able to help with, please!

I know all children should have their own towel, but can children from one family share a towel? Obviously they do at home.

Can I change a mindee's nappy in the same room that the inspector is in? Our downstairs is open plan so I'd have to take her upstairs otherwise.

I think I know the answer to this - I can't leave a mindee alone with inspector while I take another one to the toilet, can I?

Thanks.

Children should not share a towel because of the risk of cross contamination.

I change children in the same room as the inspector - it's where children are always changed and I explain I do not want to change their routine and risk upsetting them. I ask the inspector to please look away to protect their privacy - it's never been a problem.

I have left children safely playing and nipped to the loo. I always tell the inspector what I am doing - if necessary I would explain that it's much better that a child is playing than they are watching me!!

Good luck! :D

Firstly good luck!

I just did everything as I normally did TBH to not risk unsettling the kids.
