Really miffed as I have 2 full time children wanting an immediate start and I am still awaiting my husbands CRB.All mine has come back and his is still at stage 4 - with the police.It has been there since 8/5/08.
I would'nt mind but he's not even around when I will be minding.
It's so annoying when I am all ready to go and have children waiting.I just hope I don't lose them.
I phone OFSTED every week and have also got access to the CRB web so I check that daily and continue to be frustrated when it states still in progress.......
How long have others waited???

Ha, dont get me started on this - I really hope your comes through quickly.
I have posted before about this, I already have my CRB but I am still waiting for my hubbys to come back. I had pre-reg on 3/3, inspector took CRB app, received at CRB on 25/3, checked and logged onto their system on 27/3. We are only at Stage 2 which is still in progress!

I'm with Sarah on this one you need to ring them every day and harass the life out of them - somehow it tends to speed them up!

My inspector took my crb applications on the 29th Feb and I only just got them back this weekend. Try to ask the CRB people the details of the police station(s) and contact them direct, as soon as I got these details and contacted the police station who was holding them up, I got them through within a matter of days, its very fustrating.
Regards
Naomi
It must be very frustrating, I'm dreading sending mine off because I know I will be so impatient waiting for it to some back. Fingers crossed it get sorted for you very soon.

NAOMIM221;
I didn't know you could contact the police station yourself. What did you say? I phoned CRB place again today...they've had it for 4 weeks and they said they are getting them done in 4 weeks at the moment but no...my partner's is still the problem...still with the local police:mad:
