Hi All
I have got my first grading ofsted inspection either this friday or next monday or Tuesday. I've had my childcare improvement officer round for a chat and she offered my a few tips. I'm just really stressing about what paperwork ofsted will want to see and if I have got enough knowledge of the Statutory Framework. It's such a lot of reading and trying to work a 45 hour week and doing paperwork is really getting a bit rough. I just want someone to say 'You'll be fine really'! Go on and tell me that all this stress will be worth it. I've got 4 children on my books and doing my best to keep them all busy and happy. They do play very well together.

Don't stress about it! Take a deep breath and remember how happy the children and parents are with you.
Now check your paperwork against the statutory requirements and you'll be fine!
Don't forget to let us know how you get on :D

Hiya
I had my first graded inspection 2 weeks ago. I was very nervous and did find it a bit nerve racking while she was here, but she was lovely. She looked at Los learning journeys, accident/medicine file, permissions, child record & contracts, attendance sheets, RAs, fire drill forms, policies (although all my information is in a portfolio)
She asked questions on safeguarding, how I plan as I don't do formal written planning.
Hope I've covered everything.
Good luck

I have had my grading inspection on Monday this week. It went well and I got a Satisfactory with a few Good outcomes so I'm really happy with that. All done and out of the way for a bit now. :clapping:

You'll be fine and being stressed just shows how much you care about doing a good job. I was terrified about my first inspection but it went really well and i felt so happy and relieved after. Good luck, let us know how you get on:D
