Ofsted say to us that the Learning Journeys belong to the parent and must be passed onto them when the child leaves so ...
Shouldn't we get written permission to share the LJs with Ofsted inspectors the same way that we do when we share them with nurserys/schools etc.
And ... what would happen if the parents decided not to give their permission?
This is just hypothetical - its amazing the things you think of while peeling carrots!

Last year when my inspection was due I asked my parents if they were ok for the LJs to be out and they were all ok. If one had not been I would have wrtiien a letter to that effect and got the parent to sign it.

I gather permission at the start of contract that I can show the LJ's and relevant data to Ofsted, Network Co-Ordinator etc.
Parents will always be informed of who is viewing/viewed
if a parent refused I would have an accompanying letter stating as much:)

Agree with others - I suppose if ALL parents did not want Ofsted to se LJ's I would try to collect together photo's that did not show faces and copy some documents with name blacked out.
However all mine sign when start - and I explain that I need to show Ofsted as part f inspection - so far no one has questioned it

I inform parents that Ofsted have the right to examine any of my documents.
If parents have an issue with it they can let me know :D

I have a bit in my permission form about the sharing and use of LJ'S... it includes Ofsted, other settings and as an example of my paperwork system (ie networking etc but I often do a quick verbal double check on this one before doing so :) ) xx
