I'm just waiting for the call from prospects to arrange my pre-reg visit and I want to get as much sorted beforehand as possible.

Can anyone tell me what types of paperwork you have to do? I have the following in mind:

Weekly attendance register
Blank forms as in incident forms, administering medicine, etc in case I need them
About your child
Policies and procedures (coming out my ears I might add!)
Risk Assesments
Permission forms
Daily diary
Learning Journal

Is there anything I'm missing or I've not thought of? I know a lot of you have said there is a lot of paperwork involved but I would really like to get all of it ready and waiting to go.

Thanks
:)

That's just the paperwork . I have also redecorated the hall and downstairs loo this week, with the living room to follow at the weekend :rolleyes:If the weather perks up the garden is getting landscaping, rubber chips and raised veg beds too.

The funny thing is, though, the more that I cross off the to-do list, the longer it gets?!

Thanks for this. I keep thinking I have all the info I need then find another link which states more paperwork, etc that I need to have!

I'm sure there will be something I've forgotten when the time comes!

LauraS I know how you feel about the list getting longer! I am redecorating my toilet, living room and hallway in the next 2 weeks but its difficult because my DS has chickenpox so is underfoot at the moment, whereas I could normally ask my mum to look after him for a couple of hours! Oh wel, it never rains but it pours!

Sarah707, didn't think you'd have a to do list once you're childminding?

 Sorry but that's funny...

You just wait and see when everything needs updating... and the children's learning journey booklets need doing... and the photos need printing... and the planning has to be written... and the risk assessments need reviewing after an accident... and you have to do your self evaluation regularly... and and and and and :D
