Has anyone bought this book and if so is it worth it? Just wondering what everyone thinks or whether there is enough info on here, the Bromley site and teachernet to do without it?

According to my Who Minds? mag it says that its

"a book produced by NCMA to support you in delivering the EYFS in a home-based setting. It is packed with examples and descriptions of good childminding practice which meets the EYFS requirements. Active Learning is fun learning. this new book looks at the six areas of learning and development outlined in the EYFS and illustrates how you can incorporate these into your everyday childminding work."

Cost £8.50 for NCMA members; £12.50 for non-members.

I got given one free at my first EYFS training session last weekend.
It is quite good but I dont think it is worth what they are asking for it.

I have seen and looked at it.

It is ok but it is not something I would buy.

If you are looking to hand over real money then maybe I can recommend another book which I think is much much better.

It is

SUPPORTING EVERY CHILD'S LEARNING across the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Author - Vicky Hutchin

ISBN 978-0-340-94777-7

I don't know how much it costs as it was issued free by Surrey's Network but have to say after looking at it I would have paid almost anything!!!!
