Hi. I had my pre registration inspection last week and I'm hoping to start minding soon. I think I've learned more from this forum than anywhere, including Cypop5! Anyway, I have a few mums who may use me occasionally (if I have spaces) while they go to job interviews etc. Do I still need to do a LJ for them?

I often look after children that I have on an ad-hoc basis. Some might only ever come once, some only once every few months.

I still do all the usual paperwork (child record form, permissions, basic contract) which I put in a folder. Each time they come I do a daily diary sheet for parents telling them about meals, sleep times, what the children have enjoyed etc. I take a copy for myself and leave it on the file. I might take a couple of photos as well, but I don't do a LJ.

That sounds like a sensible way of doing it.

Thanks,

Becky

I think Mouse has the right advice there!

You can build up a nice photo memory book for the child without needing to go into all the details of the Eyfs. :D
