My attendance register and cashbook come together, I got mine when I started in September but have just ordered a new one so that I can have one running from April to April, makes it easier for me!

I print my own weekly sheets and at the end of the tax year file April - April away with my accounts. I don't think it matters how you do it as long as you have an accurate record for if its ever queried.

I use the NCMA ones and they end at the end of March. New ones for April. Even if there are pages left. I then store all the old ones together.
