Hi
If you worked between 7.30am and 6pm and charged £3.50 per hours, what would you make your daily rate? I included all meals and snacks.
And then does that mean your daily rate is from 7.30am-6pm and if they want less than those hours they just pay per hour

My brain isn't working - please explain daily/half daily rates to me etc:blush:

Hi I think everyone works differently.
I charge an hourly rate for up to 8 hours after that I charge a set daily rate.
I don't charge half day rates, but am considering changing this as I have 2 lo's starting nursery soon.
I also charge a minimum amount of 3 hours

I charge a daily rate of £30 for up to 10 hours. (Fees here are similar to yours) If they come for 8 or 9 hours they still pay the daily rate, however I do offer a short day rate of £25 for up to 7 hours. The idea is that you are getting the full amount for the space even if they do less hours. I changed from hourly after I had a parent who kept cutting her hours - half an hour here and there so I was earning less and less but she was still using the full day space.
