Public Liability Insurance

Hiya,

I'm currently pre-reg, so getting everything sorted and working out costs etc.

I have been looking at public liability insurance, and have decided to go with MM.

Just a quick question - do I need my insurance in place prior to my pre-reg visit from Ofsted?

No you do not need insurance until you are registered to work.

However it must be in place before you start with any children.

No, don't buy your insurance until you know when you will be looking after children otherwise you will be paying for cover you don't need.

As Sarah said you will need to put it in place as soon as you are registered and this is irrespective of whether you have any children or not. It is a requirement of your registration to have it.
