Activity ideas for 0-12months

Hi everyone a friend of mine has a day trial at a nursery and they want her to plan an activity for 0-12months I said hand and foot prints for mothers say cards? Please help with more ideas thanks

Does it have to be a craft activity?

If I were her I would steer clear of anything as messy as hand & foot painting. It can get very messy with babies & if she's trynig to create a good impression it might not go to plan (imagine a group of babies with hands & feet in paint - paint everywhere, eating it, crawing away!)

If she wants to go down the messy play route, what about preparing jelly with plastic animals in it & letting the children dig through to get to the animals. It's a bit more controllable than hand painting and it doesn't matter too much if the children eat it!
