Childcare Vouchers

I am due to start with a new mindee at the beginning of March and his Mum has said that she wants to use Childcare Vouchers as part of the payment. She has asked me how they work. I have never had to deal with them - can anyone advise me?

Very easy!

The Money is garnished from the parent's salary and held by the voucher company. The parent then instruct the payment to you and it will be sent to your bank account.

You just need to find out which company the parent's employer uses and contact them to register. They will usually ask for a copy of your reg certificate and bank details.

They are quite straight forward to use once you've registered (and you can register with lots of different companies if parents are using them). The advantage for parents is the money is taken out of their salary before tax and NI is deducted.
