We did these last year as both daddies had dogs... might do something from the same range this year as they were very effective and we did hand prints for mothers day :D

We cut out a shape of a tie and the children decorated them, we put some wall around the top so we could hang them up. This year we are doing a hand print and putting a photo on it

Just wondering, how do you deal with father's day if mindee's don't have a dad or don't see their dad?
My son's father is permanently out of the picture, there are not really any 'father figures' in his life (yet, although I'm working on it, lol :) ) and this is one of the things I have been dreading facing, as I really don't want him to feel awkward or left out.
Any advice would be great. Thanks

Hi Hellsbells, how old is your son? You could call it 'my special grown up day' and let him choose who he wants to make something for. Are there any grandads around or perhaps an elderly neighbour who would welcome a chat now & then?

This year i am doing time capsules out of pringle tubs which the children will decorate, adding a handprint, poem, photo, drawing footprint etc! i'm really excited about it and can't wait to get startedx

I think I am going to do a picture frame. Made from card and decorated with a photo inside.
