Hi everyone,

Could someone please help i'm getting really confused with my planning and assessments the more i look at forms and paperwork the more confused im becoming. So if any ones got some ideas on how to make it easy can they let me know.

Observe the child - watch and listen

Assess the child - look at the Eyfs and think about what the observation tells you about the child's learning and development

Plan for the child - consider how you can support the child to either practice his new skills or move on in his learning.

So you ...

Observe - the child says 'yes' when asked a question

Assess - wow it's the first time he's said that, it's definitely linked to his conversational skills

Plan - more opportunities for him to use words like 'yes' ... and ask parents what he is saying at home.

I think a lot of people read things and overcomplicate it for themselves.

If it isn't broken don't try and fix it! :D
