My friend is a childminder she only has 3 children on roll 5, 7 & 8 yrs for 2 hrs a day. she has never had an inspection she only had registration visit shes been registered for 4 years now! Ofsted have said they wont inspect with this age children she also has her own baby who is 1yr does anyone know if this is true as im sure she should have an inspection?? Ofsted just seem to be leaving her !

This is quite normal, they only inspect a few of those working with over 5's to get a cross section of standards.
However as far as I know she will only be able to put the inspection off for 3 years then they will do an inspection without children present or might even suggest she moves onto the Childcare Register only, caring for over 5's.
