With all the hand washing that we do every other minute, my hands are getting so rough/dry/chapped. Just wondered what hand cream you all use as I need to invest! Thanks. xx

I use the Aloe Vera one from Body Shop -I tried the hemp one but really couldnt be doing with the smell!

I also find E45, Nivea Cream (or astral cream) and Coco Butter are also really good.

I have developed some kind of rash on my right hand.

I love norwegian formual by neutrogena but unfortunately it is not touching my one hand. Been backwards and forwards to the GP since the summer and one more week till I can go back and hopefully get a referal to a specialist !!

My sis has been a hairdresser for 25 years and they all suffer from dry hands too. She moved to Canada and discovered a cream called Curel- it's amazing, like no other moisturiser I've tried. You can buy it on amazon, it's about a fiver for a big tube. There are different types, so you can get one for extra dry skin. Have a look at the reviews online for it - especially people who have eczema. I use it and I also use it on my son in the winter when he gets dry skin.

Definitely recommend this as hand cream,
Becky:thumbsup:

Don't use e45 I'm terribly allergic to it.

I use Avon glycerine and cream, not greasy and leaves my hands wonderfully soft

I use Nivea. Cheap and Cheerful. I dont really suffer from dry hands though. Its my face that gets really dry. Also have been known to use e45 on my hands as my DH uses that so always pots over the house!

Look at the soap you use to wash your hands. I'm like you and am always washing my hands but have found if I use a moisturising handwash then my hands do not dry out as much. ;)

I have two on the go.

In my Handbag I have Molton Brown 'Hydrate' - Dessert Bloom intense hand rescue £20.50. I use this through the day, its great and smells lovely.

On my bedside cabinet I have Clarins 'Creme Jeunesse des Mains' (Hand and Nail Treatment Cream which softens hands, Minimizes Age spots & Strengthens nails) £18.00. I use this just before I go to bed and leave it on overnight.

HTH

Crabtree and Evelyn - La Source - first use their Hand recovery - soft hand scrub type cream to get rid of dry skins, rub it in then rinse off with warm water, pat dry with a towel, then put on their La Source hand therapy , hand cream and your hands will feel so soft you just wont believe it - expensive but totally worth it , its amazing! Smells divine too

Me Too!

And as previous poster said try a moisturising hand soap too and avoid alcohol hand gel like the plague

I also use neutrogena but only at night. I hate the feeling of greasy fingers so only moisturise my hands at night. Really ought to do it during the day more. Occasionally I use Hand Food by Soap and Glory. Hx

Hi,

I suffer badly with dry hands and practically bleeding knuckles from washing my hands all the time and use Aloe Vera Propolis Creme which I also sell. Can also be used for multiple other things like nappy rash, night creme to prevent spots, eczema, dry feet etc It was also voted as one of the best 10 hand creams by the independent. If you are interested then forum members get 15% discount and the link is here:

Another product that childminders including myself like is the hand Sanitizer which doesn't dry your hands or smell like chemicals:

Thanks :0)

I use this neutrogena one and Nivea SOS for very dry and sore hands and they do a brilliant job. Otherwise I just use what I'm given for birthdays and Christmas. If I was treating myself I'd buy molton brown thai vert or Compagnie de Provence fresh verbena. :)
