Retainers

Hi

I have another question about retainer fees:

If I were paid a retainer for 3 days per week during maternity leave, would I be able to use the place for another child until the space was required by the parent paying the retainer? Or am I committing to keeping that space free for the duration of the time the retainer is paid?

If you charge a Retainer you are retaining the space for the sole use of the parent who is paying the retainer so no you couldn't use the space for another child.

However if it was agreed with the parent on maternity leave and you found a child who wanted to use some of the retained days that the mum didn't need to use then I'm sure she would be pleased to have her retainer fee refunded for they days the other child used. As long as you undertake to keep the place she wants open for her when she needs it. IYSWIM!
