I know I have to have business insurance for my car which is the car I will use mainly when I am childminding. But if my OH was to take us into town or shopping on the odd occasion would he have to change his insurance for business use too?

You will both need class 1 business use and this applies to any car that the children go in if you are working

Some companies charge a premium for this and some don't. I am with Churchill and they are great with no added costs

We were with Churchill for years and they hiked their prices this year so we are with Morton Michel.

We have 2 cars with Morton Michel and their price is competitive.

Always check with the insurer that you are getting business class 1 - you normally have to phone as you can't get prices online or through comparison websites for childminding.
