Any ideas for encouraging taking turns?

I have 2 mindees a boy and girl both nearly 4 who I look after 2 afternoon's a week (the same afternoons!) They get on fairly well together and are not too bad at sharing however they are terrible at taking turns for example if we get a game out as soon as z has had a turn she will whine that c is not letting her play and then the same as soon as c has had his turn he will start moaning. It drives me mad, they will play role play games together for hours so much so that I've put off planned activities as they were having so much fun. Any ideas?

I would just say ' no we are not getting that game out today until you both learn to share and take turns!' and let them enjoy using their imagination :)

I would play some games with them and give lots of praise when they wait their turn - vary the games take them inside and outside and have some fun together.
