i really need a triple buggy as with 3 under 2 yr olds im struggling .
ive found one in america that i like for a reasonable price but the cost of import tax and duty is rediculus !
the buggy itself is only £230 but with shipping and tax your talking £540!

my sons girlfriend is from america and my neighbour works there so they both hop on planes often . is it possible to get them to bring it over or would a triple buggy be too large to put on a plane as luggage ? never having flewn myself ive not got a clue whats allowed .

I don't see why they cannot bring it but they would need to put it on at the door as it will get damaged with general transport.

Check the weight first and then get them to check with their carrier

Be careful because you are only allowed to bring in new items from the States up to a certain value (around £130) without having to pay duty on them at the airport.

A new triple buggy being brought in by someone with no children would stand out as being new and/or a gift so would be very likely to be charged duty and VAT.
