Working hours

I know that the max hours per week for tax purposes ie heating allowances is 40 hours. I usually work this but at times due to parent holidays can do about 35. I would usually enter this on my accounts but have heard that you can claim for hours worked when children are not present ie planning, paperwork which could make it up to 40 hours per week.

Is this right?

I am currently talking to the HMRC and NCMA about this but at present if you are using the NCMA guidelines on percentages then it is hours actually worked with the children

HOWEVER

if you are working your percentage for everything on actual use I would add in my paperwork and planning times aswell
