How do you share assessments with parents?

Do you invite parents in and fill in together, give to the parents to take home to fill in, email or a completely different way. I want to encourage parents to add their assessment and suggest next step but not sure the best way to do this. I recently gave the assessment, after I had filled it in, to the parents but didn't get it back for 2 weeks so don't feel that is going to work. Any suggestions?

I give a written copy to parents and ask for their feedback or comments. Sometimes they do but mostly not.

About a week later I ask for verbal comments and they usually have something to say which I can write down on their behalf.
