I am completing registration this week and hoping to start minding next week if all is well.

One of my mindees is going to be a family member (niece) and my inspector says she is not going to be classified as a mindee but as an additional family member on those days, but my sister intends to pay me for the place as I can't offer it to another child those days.

So what do I need to do in terms of paperwork??? Do i need a contract for her? Do I need consents for her?

help!

:)

I looked after my nephew and niece and did contracts and all the proper paperwork for them. It probably wasn't necessary but it gave me a chance to practise.

If you want to be covered by your insurance then yes you will need all the normal paperwork in place.

Be very careful working for family - make sure your fees policy is absolutely crystal clear. Lots of upsets can happen when family is involved.

Good luck! :D
