Funding for essentials

Hi all,

I have recently become registered and during the registration spent alot of money on safety stuff, equipment etc. There is currrently no funding with the local authority.
I am taking children from next week and my car insurance wont adapt my policy so Im having to get a new one, also car seats and insurance.....cash is running very low! :(

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any schemes or grants that I could apply for.

Different authorites offer different grants - however in this day of cutbacks most of them have gone so prepared to be told there isnt any.

Have you got a development worker/officer who you could ask.

Yeah...i asked...theres nothing...I should have known....I came into this because my job in SureStart was at risk and I received no funding for my degree last year!! so I was prepared for the 'no', just didnt realise how much I was going to spend. Wasnt sure if there was anything national or charities?
