Compulsory EYFS Course ?

Hi all
Just spoke to my local Family Information Services , I rang with an EYFS pack enquiry they told me there is now a compulsory EYFS Course for all new childminders , its free of charge as run by local council and is 3 hours long has anyone been on this ? If so what does it consist of ? I'm booked on for 17th Sept .

Is that the "Introduction to Childminding Practice" ? If so I am on mine early next month.

All areas run things differently... some insist childminders go on a course which introduces them to the eyfs as well as the introduction to childminding course (called different things across the country) which is a statutory course.

I imagine it will be a walk through of the Eyfs pack if it's only 3 hours long. You won't have time to cover much.
