my CRB came back literally within two weeks - my partners STILL hasn't!! i keep checking it and its STILL in progress on stage 4 - the police checks! im getting so worried now becuase he ha had warning from the police and cautions so im scared that this will stop him getting his CRB - i also have my pre-reg visit on wed so was hoping to have had it by then :-(

Patience ... the biggest learning curve of the pre-registration stage :) .
My CRB came through within a few weeks (2+ years ago) but then it got lost in the post. Took 24 days from time of posting to arrival on my doormat. CRB wouldn't issue a duplicate till 21 days had passed and then I had both arrive within days of each other.
Fingers crossed you don't have to wait too much longer.

we had 3 in a row mon tues weds then a lovely long wait of over 4 weeks!!!i was begining to worry my daughter had been up to something ,if it has been particullarly long you can ring the crb people an ask them to do a chase up,ofsted actually called them to see what was happening with my last 1
